How Good Can it Get?

The Power of Subjective Experience

“It is precisely the most subjective ideas which, being closest to nature and to the living being, deserve to be called the truest.”
– Carl G. Jung

The full impact of quantum physics in daily life is yet to be felt, not just through new technologies, but also through a new way of viewing reality. We're on the verge of experiencing a 'quantum invasion' of ideas arriving in a variety of scientific fields that when viewed collectively as a whole have the power to completely overturn our existing assumptions about the nature of truth, ourselves, and reality.

Some paradigm-shattering news was announced recently that a physics experiment challenges objective reality, providing scientific validation for what many of us have been noticing for quite some time. Namely, that people can literally be in the same place at the same time, yet they can be experiencing completely different realities. This is not to say that two observers will never witness the same reality, but rather that observations can be made by observers do not always match, where these non-matching observations can both be considered to be true.

The implication that there may be no such thing as 'objective reality' is sufficiently shocking to be received with joy by those who have noticed or were beginning to suspect as much, and with scorn by those unwilling to consider giving up beloved assumptions. Regardless what one's initial emotional reaction might be, a significant concept exists with the study of quantum probability of a worldview incorporating four-fold logic such as is found in the Buddhist catuskoti, which is very different from Boolean algebraic (true/false) binary logic. A four-fold logical system naturally recognizes states of a logical proposition of: (1) being, (2) not being, (3) being and not being, and (4) neither being nor not being.

We have an opportunity now, by recognizing the possibility that we are already experiencing a reality in which we may remember events as having occurred different than others do—and that it's possible for both of us to be right. While it seem challenging to consider the observations of others as being correct when they are at odds with what we ourselves have observed, there can be a distinct advantage to each of us individually and all of us collectively when we become more open-minded in this way. Many arguments with friends and family could be transformed from heated disputes about 'who is right' into greater awareness of the possibility that 'maybe we're both right.' I co-authored a paper, When Worlds Collide, to address ways that rather than increasing divisiveness, we can bring healing to interpersonal relationships, by listening more deeply to what truly matters most to others.

With awareness that the way we view events can influence what we experience to be true, this is an excellent time to ask how good it can get when we invite the most positive possible realities into our lives.

Physics Experiment Challenges Objective Reality
I’m fascinated by news this past month of exciting results from a quantum physics experiment that according to the MIT Technology Review appears to provide evidence that two people can observe the exact same event, see two different things happen, and both be correct. Physicists at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh succeeded in bringing a classic Gedankenexperiment (thought experiment) out of the realm of pure conjecture and into the real, physical world of a physics laboratory.  The thought experiment requires two people to observe one single photon–which is a quantum, or indivisible, unit of light.  Quantum particles can behave as either particles, or as waves, settling into one state or the other (particle or wave) at the precise moment it is observed.  All the rest of the time when the particle is not being observed by someone, it exists in a ‘superposition of states’ in which it can be considered to be simultaneously both ‘particle’ and ‘wave.’  When a second person is unaware of the first person’s observational measurement, this thought experiment proposes that the second person who is unaware of the first person’s measurement might be able to to confirm that the photon still exists in a quantum superposition (undecided) state. Power of Eight with Lynne McTaggart
on Living the Quantum Dream with Cynthia Sue Larson

Cynthia Sue Larson talks with Lynne McTaggart about the miraculous healing effects of small groups.  Lynne describes how she accidentally discovered the miraculous transformations that occurred with participants involved in intention experiments, and provides insights as to how and why sending altruistic thoughts of healing in a group sending out focused intentions at the same time–even with participants who’ve not met in person–makes such an extraordinary difference both for the recipients and for the group participants themselves. Lynne McTaggart is an award-winning journalist and international bestselling author who conducts scientific studies of the power of group intention. Lynne is author of The Field, The Bond, The Intention Experiment, and The Power of Eight: Harnessing the Miraculous Energies of a Small Group to Heal Others, Your Life, and the World. Lynne also serves as Editorial Director of internationally popular health publication, What Doctors Don’t Tell You. Lynne lives and works in London, England and her website is:

A quantum experiment suggests there's no such thing as objective reality

Physicists have long suspected that quantum mechanics allows two observers to experience different, conflicting realities. Now they’ve performed the first experiment that proves it. Back in 1961, the Nobel Prize–winning physicist Eugene Wigner outlined a thought experiment that demonstrated one of the lesser-known paradoxes of quantum mechanics. The experiment shows how the strange nature of the universe allows two observers—say, Wigner and Wigner’s friend—to experience different realities. Since then, physicists have used the “Wigner’s Friend” thought experiment to explore the nature of measurement and to argue over whether objective facts can exist. That’s important because scientists carry out experiments to establish objective facts. But if they experience different realities, the argument goes, how can they agree on what these facts might be? That’s provided some entertaining fodder for after-dinner conversation, but Wigner’s thought experiment has never been more than that—just a thought experiment. Last year, however, physicists noticed that recent advances in quantum technologies have made it possible to reproduce the Wigner’s Friend test in a real experiment. In other words, it ought to be possible to create different realities and compare them in the lab to find out whether they can be reconciled. And today, Massimiliano Proietti at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and a few colleagues say they have performed this experiment for the first time: they have created different realities and compared them. Their conclusion is that Wigner was correct—these realities can be made irreconcilable so that it is impossible to agree on objective facts about an experiment.

Mind Mate Podcast – Can Thoughts Change Your Reality
Cynthia chats with Tom Ahern about how our awareness of who we are as observers influences what happens in our lives. Just the fact that we are observing something is very possibly changing what we are observing—and this can be a good thing. In fact, keeping a positive perspective regarding what we observe is likely one of the most important things we can all do when we begin to recognize that the way we pay attention and observe is not so much a passive activity, as it is a very active, reality-shifting thing we do.

The Loretta Brown Show
Cynthia chats with Loretta Brown about quantum physics, awareness of quantum reality, and why this matters. We observe some types of reality shifts that seem so unlikely—or impossible—that we seldom discuss them with others. Yet, as Loretta shares one such experience where she averted a horrific accident in such a seemingly impossible way, there is much we can all gain when we do discuss these events with each other. Loretta and Cynthia also discuss the Mandela Effect, the benefit of working with Reiki, and the state of being identified by author Diane Brandon as 'born aware.'

(3) Your Reality Shift Stories

Extra Brown Towel Appears
Sacramento, California, USA

I was putting away towels in the bathroom and noticed an EXTRA brown one. I always buy two at a time and have done this for years as it is just my husband and myself. I looked at the tag and researched it. I discovered it was a Target brand & I never shop at Target. I asked my husband if he had occasion to buy the brown towel, and he said no. I am at a LOSS to know where this extra brown towel came from! I assume it was my multidimensional self shopping at Target!

Note from Cynthia: Thanks so much for sharing your experience with the mysterious brown Target brand towel.  It sounds like once you've ruled out the possibility of a visitor or house guest bringing a towel and leaving it at your house, and also the possibility that your husband might have purchased a brown towel--then yes, the simplest explanation is indeed that this towel has arrived from some adjacent possible reality!

Toothbrush Reappeared

I am 24 years old, I saw your video on You-tube about the reality shift; it's really amazing. You talked about the socks thing; that has really happened to me. Once I could not find my tooth brush, and I looked for it in the whole bathroom; I couldn't find it there. Later on I found that in my pant pocket, but I had not worn that pant since weeks. I still dont know how it got there. All the best; keep posting these types of videos.

Note from Cynthia: Thanks so much for writing to me, and letting me know that you appreciate my videos.  Thank you also for letting me know that you have experienced a reality shift involving your tooth brush vanishing and then showing up in a pocket of your pants that you had not worn for weeks!

(4) Mail Bag, Questions, and Answers

Hi, Cynthia!
I am truly grateful that I stumbled across you and your teachings. This morning I listen to one of your videos, subsequently had a great conversation with my subconscious, came into alignment with a bunch of things including money. 15 minutes later my husband let me know that $3,000 had just come in from the Government that we had been fighting for almost a year to get, and kept getting denied. As part of all this I did alot of inner giggling. OMG this really works. All I can say is thank you SO much for sharing your insights with the world.

— Happy Hilary

Dear Hilary,
I'm glad to hear from you, and delighted to hear how you've heard such good financial news after having a great conversation with your subconscious--well done!  Thanks for writing to let me know that listening to one of my videos was helpful to you! lots of love,

— Cynthia

Hello dear ma'am.
I had emailed you quite a few times. I wanted things to be like before with a particular person. Well, your quantum jumping thing worked very well. Thanks and good vibes.

— Adithya

Dear Adithya,
Thank you so much for emailing me to let me know that the quantum jumping technique worked very well for you!
With loving thanks,
— Cynthia

Hi Cynthia,
(With regard to healing): Can you mention other things I can do or go deeper into heart-connection?
— Johan

Dear Johan,
One of the very best ways to experience healing is to join a group of similarly-focused individuals who take turns sending positive healing intentions to people.  What many people don't often realize is that some of the best healing happens for the people who are the participants who are sending the healing intentions and energy and prayers to others--so you'll get lots of opportunities to receive healing, simply by joining such a group of about eight individuals. You can find groups to join at Lynne McTaggart's Power of Eight groups website, which explains all of this better at:
Lynne McTaggart's Power of Eight Groups
lots of love,
— Cynthia
