Invisible Wife
David
Kansas, USA

I don't know if this is a reality shift but it is weird. My wife is invisible to me at times. It happens frequently. I'll go through the house looking for her then call out and she'll be right there sitting on the couch. She'll think I'm nuts that I didn't see her. I've already been in a room with friends and I'll be talking about her as if she wasn't there and people look at me like I'm nuts and then look at her and suddenly I see her sitting right there in front of me. I think she can relax her mind and go to a real quiet space. It's like she wants to be alone and undisturbed at times. It seems like people in general ignore her or act like she's not there.

Note from Cynthia: As strange as invisibility may seem, this is actually a somewhat commonly reported type of reality shift. It's been described in RealilyShifters before, often from the point of view of a person becoming invisible to others, which often can be rather frustrating. I find it fascinating to hear what it's like to be living with someone who every now and again seems to slip quietly and completely out of view. Others who've reported being invisible do not seem to feel anything different, so your wife thinking you're nuts not to see her fits with typically reported stories about invisibility.

Bible Appeared in Answers to Wishes
Tish
Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

A year or so ago, I decided that I wanted to read The Bible. Since I was not raised in a religious household, I had no idea of what passages to read. I remember wishing that someone would help me select what to read. Shortly after that, I found my uncle's Bible on my bookshelf. I had no idea how his Bible got there, because my uncle had passed away back in 1996, and to my knowledge much of his belongings were either thrown in the garbage or burned after he passed away. I opened the Bible, and to my surprise, my uncle had placed bookmarks all throughout it with passages and references to passages written on them. I was amazed that my wishes had been fulfilled. After I had read some of the passages however, I was having a difficult time interpreting the symbolism and the meanings. I remember thinking to myself that it would be great to find someone who could explain the meanings of some Bible passages to me. At that time, I was a member of Tagworld, a social networking website. Shortly after I wished that I could find someone to explain some Bible passages to me, one of the people on my Tagworld friends list, started sending Bible passages and explanations of them to me and his other friends every day. I was happy and amazed that my wishes had been fulfilled again.

Note from Cynthia: Your story about your wishes being granted related to getting help and support finding Bible passages to read, and help with understanding the meaning is just wonderful! When I read this story, I get a sense of how blessed you must have felt.

Teleporting Book
Tish
Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA

Another time, my sister and I attended a lecture. Books were being sold at the lecture, and I found one that I really wanted, but I only had a couple of dollars in my purse, and it wasn't enough to buy the book. So, my sister offered to pay for half of the book, and we promised each other that we would share it. Soon after purchasing it, I read it and put it back on my bookshelf. One day, I told my sister that I would like to give her the book so she could read it, but she said that she didn't want it at that time, because she was too busy and didn't have time to read it. So, I kept the book. A couple of months or so passed, and one day, I wanted to re-read some portions of the book, but I was shocked to find that the book was totally missing from my bookshelf. I told my sister that I would buy us a new copy of it. She then looked on her bookshelf and told me to not bother with buying a new copy of the book, because the book was on her bookshelf. Neither one of us had any idea of how the book got from my bookshelf to hers, because we both remembered her not wanting to read the book yet and telling me to keep it.

Note from Cynthia: I just love your story about the teleporting book! I have had something quite similar happen to me, which I describe in my book "Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World," so I know first hand just how surprising it is to witness an object find its way where it's needed without anyone physically transporting it there. I have a sneaking suspicion that as we open our minds to the possibility that such shifts are possible, we might see even larger things teleport that we'd love to see relocated... such as sofas or TV sets!
