Quantum Jumps
The hundreds of first-hand accounts of reality shifts (aka: mind-matter interaction MMI, quantum jumping, glitches in the Matrix) on this and the following pages have been collected and shared through Cynthia Sue Larson's RealityShifters since 1999. Special issues focusing on particular types of reality shifts (such as: the Dead seen Alive Again, Seeing Loved Ones Before They Arrive, Invisibility, Walking through Walls, etc.) can be found by browsing through the RealityShifters archives and subscribing to the (free) monthly ezine. Hundreds of stories are reported here in this "Your RealityShifter Stories" section of this web site, and the phenomenon is documented in the best-selling books, Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World, and Quantum Jumps: An Extraordinary Science of Happiness and Prosperity.

Disappearing / Reappearing Engagement and Wedding Rings

Omg. What a wonderful surprise today. I was cleaning the guest bathroom and picked up a silk floral arrangement and took it outside and set it down to spray it with silk floral cleaner--but the nozzle on the can of spray was clogged, so I took the flowers back inside. I set them down in the corner on the countertop again, but then I decided to wipe under them and clean the bathroom right then instead of later. When I picked the slender wooden vase up again, I heard a soft clink. I looked down and there was my engagement ring sticking out, and my wedding ring, too! It was unreal. The vase was sealed, nothing fit inside it. The rings must have somehow been stuck to the bottom of the vase, though the bottom is not sticky at all. I have cleaned the bathroom many times since they went missing over a year ago, picking up that vase and wiping under there. So this is a huge mystery to me. It borders on miraculous actually! I cannot explain it. I am so relieved though. Wow. I thought I had hidden them last year before I went for a medical procedure, but three days later I had no memory of having hidden them. I had photographed people at the house and then the next day looked for my rings in their usual place, and they were missing. I tore the house apart, looking under vases, emptying every drawer, etc. I finally decided they must have been stolen by one of the clients, but Jerry insisted they would turn up some day. But how weird that they finally did, and in a most unexpected and bizarre way! Cynthia! I thought of you and reality shifting almost immediately as I was standing there staring at the impossible sight of my rings in a place I had looked for them several times and had cleaned so many times. It was so surreal. It was truly as if they had reappeared from out of nowhere. Even my husband was stunned. He picked up the vase and felt it and said it was so smooth, no sticky feeling anywhere. He could not even understand how the vase would sit on top of them, which I wondered about, too. I have often hid my rings under a vase in the master bathroom, so naturally both vases were logical first choices on where to look when they went missing. You know how you can't believe they aren't there, so you keep looking again anyway? I did that over and over. After they had appeared I went back and ran my finger on the countertop beside the vase and under it and it was clean, so it is not as if I simply had not really ever cleaned or looked under there! It is so incredible. Yes, you may share this with anyone. I hope it gives them hope! I am still stunned. Never had such an experience before! I took off my engagement ring a few minutes ago and put it under the vase momentarily, and I can tell you the vase does not set flat on top of it! If you touch the vase it rocks! That's what makes this even more bizarre. The other day when I found them, a kleenex box was blocking my view of the countertop area where the rings would have been; so if they'd been there when I picked the vase up I would not have seen the countertop unless I looked down more, but I was focused on the flowers. I just grabbed the vase and went outside to spray the flowers with some silk cleaner. When I returned and went to set the vase down again on the countertop it would not set down, and that's when I heard the soft clink of my rings and looked down, and my engagement ring was peeking out! It's as if the rings were suddenly under there. I'm still so shocked. I distinctly remember tearing both bathrooms apart looking for the rings; there's a lamp on the right side of this bathroom and I even looked under it. There's two sculptures and I looked under them and inside them. I remember looking at these silk flowers, double-checking to see if there was an opening in the top where I might have dropped the rings in case they were hidden inside the vase, but it's sealed. So, there is no doubt I had picked up the vase during the searching a year ago, looking at the countertop, and then I have been cleaning the bathroom ever since. It's so amazing. I had tried so many things to find the ring: visualizations, prayer, re-imagining where I'd hide them today if I were doing it again, etc. Not sure why they suddenly appeared that day, but I'm so glad.

Note from Cynthia: WOW! I love the way your rings came back to you in such a surprising way! Although a year has passed since you last saw them, it seems like they're looking just as good as ever, with no sign of having gathered dust, wear, or tear. What a blessing to get them back, and how marvelous to find them in a place you've cleaned so many times! I can see what you mean from your photographs about there not being any place for the rings to hide or sit undetected for long under that wooden vase--or for that matter, much of anywhere on that countertop in your bathroom. Because I have witnessed objects literally appear as if out of thin air, I can relate to your experience of wondering how they just happened to show up at a time and place when surely you would have noticed them, had they arrived at any earlier moment. One thing that definitely does make a difference when finding lost objects, and when they appear 'out of thin air' is expecting that at some point to see them again with emotions of certainty (faith) and love. Having an open mind appears to be a prerequisite for experiencing such things as well.

Blue Napkins in Washer
Mary
Uruguay, South America

I was doing some very absorbing work at the PC but before sitting at my desk put some clothes in the washer machine. They were napkins had been using, some yellows, some with small figures. After setting the machine realized that a set of blue napkins had been left unnoticed in the basket. It was quite irritating because the laundromat does not allow a stop and reintroduction of new clothes. So I went to my PC and stood there for more than 3 hours working a full. Then I remembered the laundry, and went to the machine—only to find that the blue napkins were inside and had been washed with the rest! Nobody believed my story! Thank you.

Note from Cynthia: Thank you so very much for sharing this experience! I have experienced similarly bizarre situations with no classical logic explanation, so I believe such things are indeed possible, and am grateful to you for sharing what you observed. As many physicists are currently observing, classical Boolean logic is actually a special (limited) case of quantum logic. And within quantum logic, situations such as what you experienced are not only possible, but are expected to be observed from time to time.

Different Swings at My Daughter's Park
Sara
Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada

I think I had an experience where I shifted to a parallel universe. The only thing different that I have noticed is that the swings at my daughters parks are different. Those bucket seats that we put our children in usually have a hold on both sides of the swings. I could never tell which side was the front and which side was the back because the leg divider was the same size. So when I went to the park earlier this week I noticed that the leg divider was smaller on one side and bigger on the other so there was definitely a front and the back to this swing.
swing
this is cleaner than usual
I am still in the universe with the new swings. I think. I don't know if it's really true that I shifted or that the swings were likes all the time. I also notice something different about the fire hydrants but I can't put my finger on it. Anyway I didn't know who else I could talk to it about so I decided to email you because it's so interesting and fun to talk about. So I checked the swings again and they do look used. They are not new swings. The blue swing has the same black dots as I have seen before on the seat. Both of of the black seats are a bit cleaner than I remember but I think that's because someone from the city comes to clean the park once in awhile. But the are not new. I also went to another park and the swings there were different as well. This cleaner usual.

fire hydrants look different
I don't know what is so different about the fire hydrants. I think the colours are what struck me first. In my experience I have only seen red and white fire hydrants. But now I see red and yellow, red and black, red and silver. Also I feel like they are raised a little. It seems that if you don't pay attention to details than you think you might be going crazy a little bit. I was just pondering also—If one shifts a reality then do all their loved ones change in that reality? Do their belongings and pictures shift with them? I did find a new picture on my iPod this morning—I know I did not take that picture, it was a iPod snap shot and of a website that I need to apply some tax forms. I know I have not done any research on the site yet. Moreover, I have been looking through my picture album in my iPod a lot over last week as I am trying to organize all my pictures into frames so I am needing to email them to the printers. That snapshot was not there. If I could shift to any reality at this moment it would be one where there is a cure for autism and developmental delays. My daughter is 3 and she is delayed in talking and communication. Hopefully I can shift there. I already shifted to place where the swings are different!

Note from Cynthia: Thank you for sharing your experience in noticing differences in swings at your daughter's park. Your observation that you remember having had to take time to figure out which was the front and which was the back on the swings the way they used to be definitely sounds to me indicative of your witnessing a shift in reality. If the swings had been easy to figure out, you wouldn't be surprised by the change, so your surprise that now it's so simple to know which side of the swing is the front and which is the back indicates there's been a reality shift.

I Drove through a Red Light
Deb
Largo, Florida, USA

I love the story you shared about God fixing your flat tire at the very time you were in prayer and grateful. It's as though he said, "you think that's great watch this " I've had similar situations, once as I drove through a red light (I could have sworn it was green) cars coming from both directions and no clear way of escaping being hit hard. I braced myself for impact as I shouted "oh God help!" I closed my eyes and clenched the steering wheel tight, I heard the blaring of car horns and then waited a few seconds, nothing! I opened my eyes and was stopped in the middle of the intersection, I have no idea how I reached that place without being hit, too many cars were on those lanes and one was close enough for me to see the color of the drivers eyes if I had looked. It truly felt as though my car and myself became non physical or was lifted out of harms way and placed back down when and where it was safe. Afterward I reached my destination safely, which was to my daughters school to pick her up. As my daughter and I are walking to the car she says, mommy we had free time while I was waiting for you to pick me up and I drew you this picture. She handed me the paper drawing, it was a beautiful picture of an angel hovering off the ground. I said that beautiful, an Angel! She said no mommy that's you! My mouth hit the ground!

Note from Cynthia: Thank you for sharing your experience with finding yourself and your car safe and sound in the middle of an intersection despite having somehow managed to drive through a red light. Thank goodness you were unharmed, and what a joy to be able to safely make it to pick your daughter up from school and find she'd drawn a picture of you as an angel!

God’s Sense of Humor
Deb
Largo, Florida, USA

I was driving to a friends house I hadn't driven to before, so she gave me great directions. Sometimes I'm a nervous driver if the drive is more than ten minutes away. My friend’s house was only about 15 to 20 minutes away, but there was so much traffic along an unfamiliar route, that made the drive feel very intense for me. I almost drove through a red light, but managed to stop in time. That truly unnerved me, so by the time I got to my friends house, I was a mess. I couldn't get myself to relax and enjoy the company of my friend. All I could think of was, "Now I have to drive back home!” I told my friend I had to leave and get the drive home over with. She is a nervous driver, and totally understood. She said, "I figured you would.” So I got in my car and took a deep breath, trying to relax. I said a very urgent prayer. "God, please help me get home safely, and please keep all the other cars away from me as far as possible!” I wasn't sure about the last part of the prayer, because traffic is so bad in that area, and that time of day was really bad. Well, as I was driving home and looking in the rear view mirror, I saw no one. I then looked back to the front—no one! Hmmm. I then looked harder, even squinting my eyes, trying to see a car in the rear view mirror. I finally saw a little dot far away, and the same in the front. I realized in that moment that God had answered my prayer. I thought about it a moment and busted out laughing, saying, "Very funny, God!” and “Thanks!" Yes, He cleared traffic, and as I saw he did, it popped into my thoughts He was keeping them safe from me, as well! Well, you had be there! God truly has a wonderful sense of humor!

Note from Cynthia: I love reading about your experience of asking for cars to be far away from you, and then noticing while driving that cars were so far away they were like little far-off distant dots!

Disappearing / Reappearing Antler Handle Knife
David
Wichita, Kansas, USA

Yesterday I found a special antler handle knife that's been missing. I put it in the silverware drawer in a compartment with a few of my special tools for cooking. Today I wanted to use it and couldn't believe it wasn't right on top of the few things there. I shuffled things around and it surely wasn't there. I took another knife from that compartment to do the task and was ready to begin when I decided I needed a fork to help out. I opened the drawer and... there it was right on top, within seconds of not being there. Sometimes I think I may be visually blocking out the very thing I'm looking for and later it appears there, so I may doubt the occurrence. But this time there was no doubt. Of what I'm not sure. Drawer open, drawer closed, drawer open, there it is like some magic trick. I know you've dealt with this again and again, but would you mind offering your insight on this one more time.

Note from Cynthia: Thanks for sharing your experience with me about your now-you-see-it, now-you-don't antler handle knife. This kind of "disappearing / reappearing" reality shift is marvelous for pointing out the illusory nature of reality--which is to say that reality is not something we directly perceive, but rather something our brain and mind interprets and creates. And just as we can learn to be lucid dreamers capable of interacting and operating upon the worlds of our dreams, we can become lucid in waking life, too. And similar to the way that there are "reality checks" lucid dreamers do in dreams in order to notice that they are dreaming--and thus awaken within the dream, the reality shifts we experience can similarly alert us to the fact that we are interacting with consciousness in waking life, and awaken even in "waking" life. To summarize, I'm saying that what is going on with this type of reality shift is mostly alerting you to the fact that reality is malleable and changeable on a much greater scale than most people recognize.

Disappearing / Reappearing Drill Attachment
David
Wichita, Kansas, USA

Once again—I bought a special drill attachment for a project. After using it I put it in the back of my work van where I would see it and later store it elsewhere. When I cleaned out the van it was nowhere. I always clean out the van completely down to nothing. Hand broom and vacuum final. There is a piece of carpet I cover the floor with to make things look better. It is shook out and vacuumed. No special drill bit. Sometimes I fold back the carpet in the back when I'm hauling debris to avoid dirt on the carpet. I did this several times and the cleaning procedure since the special bit disappeared. Today I was hauling trash and folded back the carpet and of course there it was. I am now storing these disappearing items together and will see how big the collection gets. Happy days!

Note from Cynthia: Wow, I love how your special drill attachment showed up under the carpet that you'd shaken out after a thorough cleaning of your van! That's a fun idea to create a collection of disappearing/reappearing reality shifted items!

Mantra-Powered Nissan
Ruth Angela, author of The Guru's Gift
http://TheGurusGift.com

In the 80's I had a very beat up old Nissan car that had about 200 miles on the clock. I was in Hawaii and had to go over the mountain called the Pali when it was my turn to carpool the kids and work at the school with another child and her mother. On the drive up to the mountain pass, my car was fine but the minute it would sense the hill, it would start to cough and splutter and scare me that I would not make it. So I would start saying my Mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" and lo the sputters would die down and by the time I got to the top of the hill that old car was "flying." I would get the kids and the mother to say it with me and that would increase its power. We would laugh all the way to the school because it was a miracle that no one could ever believe, but we lived it. It shows that even a vehicle made of metal parts responds to the name of God.

Note from Cynthia: Thanks so much for sharing your experience with your mantra-powered Nissan in Hawaii! Your car sounds like it was very responsive to so much positive energy and intention. How wonderful that your entire carpool would join in the fun, and what a great way to start the day!
