Quantum Jumps
The hundreds of first-hand accounts of reality shifts (aka: mind-matter interaction MMI, quantum jumping, glitches in the Matrix) on this and the following pages have been collected and shared through Cynthia Sue Larson's RealityShifters since 1999. Special issues focusing on particular types of reality shifts (such as: the Dead seen Alive Again, Seeing Loved Ones Before They Arrive, Invisibility, Walking through Walls, etc.) can be found by browsing through the RealityShifters archives and subscribing to the (free) monthly ezine. Hundreds of stories are reported here in this "Your RealityShifter Stories" section of this web site, and the phenomenon is documented in the best-selling books, Reality Shifts: When Consciousness Changes the Physical World, and Quantum Jumps: An Extraordinary Science of Happiness and Prosperity.

Many shifts, and lost earring returns
Elizabeth
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

So I am one of the people who thought Nelson Mandela died in prison. In addition, I also remember a story that in fact, he was murdered, and, it was his wife who ordered the murder! I also vividly remember seeing her picture as she was being led from her home in handcuffs at the time of her arrest! I distinctly remember feeling sickened by it at the time. I was completely shocked when suddenly, there he was alive! Coming out of prison and going home to be reunited with his wife! I also remember the books "Berenstain Bears" as being "The Berenstein Bears." At one point in my life, I worked at a bookstore in Canada called "Indigo Books," (much like "Barnes and Noble" in the USA). I worked in the kids' section, organizing and adding new products on a regular basis and I was always tidying up the "Berenstain Bear" shelf. They were popular and consequently, the shelf was always messy and disorganized. I absolutely remember the books as the "Berenstein Bears." I mean during the time I worked there, I shelved dozens of those books and I remember the name quite clearly. Again, I was shocked to see that they are now called "Berenstain Bears". I remember the Wicked StepMother line in "Snow White" as "Mirror, Mirror on the wall" rather than "Magic Mirror on the wall." When I first heard you speak of this I checked it out for myself and saw that it had been changed, but recently I was either watching a show or listening to an audiobook, and heard the line referenced, only this time it was back to "Mirror, Mirror on the wall"! There is a huge park in Edmonton that I often go to walk my dog, Arrow. One day not long ago, my boyfriend and I went together, and as we left the parking lot and headed out toward the trails I glanced off to my right and noticed that 3 art installations had appeared. They were the kind of thing that kids could climb and play on and looked fun. I said to my boyfriend something like, "Oh, those are new, I wonder when they put them up?" and he said, "Oh those have been there forever, like from the 80's." The 80's? What? Again I was shocked. I had never seen them before that moment and as I said, I am at the park often. A few months ago, I lost an earring. This is not an unusual occurrence, for some reason, I am always losing earrings and have done since I got them pierced when I was fifteen. They have literally fallen out of my ears with no warning, even with a good clasp. Earrings seem determined to leave me! This earring that disappeared was special to me because they had belonged to my mother. For a few days I searched everywhere I could think of before finally chalking it up to my usual earring experience, only to wake up one morning and there it was, intact, lying by itself in the middle of my bedroom floor! I'm sure I have more stories but I can't think of them right now. Maybe down the road, I'll have more to relate, but for now, I want to say how grateful I am for the work you're doing! It validates so much of what I know to be true from my own experiences. It helps me remember that everything can be shifted, that nothing is static, that change is possible, no matter what has happened or is happening. As you say, and as I am teaching myself to say. "How good can it get!"

Note from Cynthia: Wow, that's amazing that you remember a reality in which Nelson Mandela was murdered--and it was thought that his wife had ordered the murder--good heavens! I'm relieved that you were able to see Mandela set free, and released from prison to go home to his wife, as confusing as that must have also seemed to you at the time. I love how you have work-related memories of organizing the "Berenstein" Bear book shelves on numerous occasions, with such familiarity with this particularly popular children's book series that you took note of how that family of bears spelled their names. That's fascinating that you've recently heard someone saying, "Mirror, mirror on the wall." I've seen there is a new TV advertisement that uses that familiar line that is now absent from the Disney Snow White movie, and apparently other programs also remember that line the way so many of the rest of us do, too. I love how you've witnessed new-to-you playground structures at a park you visit regularly--that's very cool! And it's not altogether surprising that your boyfriend considered them to have been there for decades; when I first started experiencing reality shifts and personal Mandela Effects, I often wished others would have also noticed similar changes to the ones I was witnessing. Over time, I've found that it does seem that people are collectively experiencing more and more of these shifts together, rather than only on an individual basis, as was mostly the case for me in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. I'm so glad you found your very special missing earring that had belonged to your mother!

Sleeping longer than what clocks indicate

Throughout my life, I have been sleeping longer than what clocks indicate. It's been such a lifelong situation that I've wondered, how does one explain to Loved Ones that my overnight naps are enough for my nighttime sleep?! Here's the proof I was talking about, of sleeping more hours than clock shows. In both screenshots, look at top right for cell phone clock time (for going to sleep & for awakening). Then compare that length of time with how far along I'm in the playlist. The length of each video in playlist is as follows: 1 vid is 00:25:43; 2 vid is 01:00:01; 3 vid is 09:09:10. I went to sleep 1:54am and started at beginning of first video in my playlist; and then I woke up at 3:30am and noticed that I was in third video of playlist at minute 06:18:22 So, the playlist shows I slept almost seven and a half hours (25:43 + 1:00:01 + 06:18:22). I play my SleepTime playlist at normal speed (not double speed); the clock shows I only slept one and a half! What happens when YOU do this?

Note from Cynthia: Your experience of seeing clear evidence that your sleep time was far less than the videos rolling by would suggest is marvelous, and reminds me of many of the most commonly reported reality shifts over the more than 20 years I've been documenting them of people "driving farther in less time." I love how you have some kind of documentation of what you experienced, both with your cell phone showing when you went inactive and reactive (asleep and awake), and also showing the length of the videos that rolled by in that time frame. People who've noticed time anomalies while driving often know for sure something unusual has occurred because they compare the distance traveled at their average speed with the actual elapsed time, and that's where they say things like, "I would have had to have been speeding at something like 120 miles per hour the whole time, and I wasn't speeding!" Such experiences thus definitely do qualify as reality shifts and quantum jumps. And these kinds of time anomalies are some of the most commonly experienced reality shifts--right up there with objects appearing and disappearing and reappearing! This is so cool that you took screen shots of the videos---and it goes without saying, that you had not changed the YouTube settings to something like "double speed," but rather the videos were playing at the normal time setting.

Haas, Black Tom, Hooligan Navy, Statue of Liberty
Alice
Northern California, USA

Just wanted to share my shock to see the old spelling of Haas avocados on this digital coupon I saw today. Twice on the screen it is spelled, "Haas," and twice on the same screen it is spelled, "Hass." This seemed to change as I was looking up how to capture a screen and maneuvering back between different screens. The little back story is that Haas avocado's name change was a real Mandela game changer for me. I wasn't completely sure about Nelson Mandela's death or about the Berenstein Bears, or the usual Mandela effects I learned about when I first looked at the topic several years ago. (And I subscribed to your channel back then!) But in the last year, I had a strange experience with avocados. I am from Northern California, my mother always had avocados ripening on top of the refrigerator. We cut them in half, removed the pit (some we placed in jars to grow on the window sill) we left the halves with the peel on, salted them, and ate them with a spoon right out of the skin. We often remarked at their proper name, the Haas avocado. Also, until recently I was a professional grocery shopper for many years, I spent all day fulfilling grocery orders at a Kroger store. I saw the name "Haas" on the avocado bins several times a day for years. One night several months ago,  I was looking for a video to watch before going to bed and I chose a documentary series on Netflix titled, "Rotten," which is a series about different food production and distribution.  I only watched one episode, it featured avocados and it explained where the Haas avocado came from and how it became so popular in stores. It also explained where the Haas name originated, and I thought to myself, "so that's where that name comes from."  The very next day, I was looking at something on youtube and I ran across the Quantum Businessman. I learned something about the Haas avocado being spelled Hass now.  What? I'd just watched that episode about Haas the night before! What?! I google searched the spelling, and found only Hass, checked Wikipedia even, and went back to the Netflix episode. It was all spelled Hass. Everywhere. I thought I was going to pass out. I went to my store where I was employed, and it was spelled Hass on every bin and on the bag labels! This was very upsetting to me. I looked into other popular examples of ME and two more stood out for me. I climbed to the crown of the Statue of Liberty as a teenager in 1976. While waiting in line for the climb, an employee, like a park ranger, was chatting with those of us in line. It was a female employee, very nice and chatty and I remember this vividly. She said to us, "Gee you guys missed out.  You could have climbed all the way to the inside of the torch except that was shut down a year ago."  She described the climb and I was really relieved the torch was closed to visitors because I would not have wanted to climb it, so I had been spared the embarrassment of having to decline that adventure in front of my companions.  I can't overstate that I remember this vividly. The second one is actually several bundled together, all having to do with Naval History and the US Navy. I was active duty Navy for several years.  In training, back when I went through it, we had to go through a course on Naval History. There is no doubt in my mind the course would have covered the "Dazzle camouflage" and if it had I certainly would remember it. Likewise, there was no such thing as a German "Black Tom" explosion that damaged the Statue of Liberty, nor was there a "Hooligan Navy" mentioned in the course.  If nothing else, there would have been articles in the Stars and Stripes newspaper describing these fun and interesting facts about Naval History. Never. In my experience these things just never happened, there is no doubt in my mind they never occurred. So I am an ME believer whether I like it or not. Thanks again, Cynthia, for all that you do.

Note from Cynthia: Thanks so much for writing to share this with me--I love it! Wow, that really does sound shocking to see the old spelling of "Haas" avocados on a digital coupon--and then seen it as "Hass"--and then it switched back and forth again?! Amazing! I've noticed that over the many years that I've been observing reality shifts and Mandela Effects, I definitely am noticing more fluid and real-time flip-flops like this in more recent years than I saw in earlier years. While I've not had the opportunity to visit the Statue of Liberty, I distinctly remember that one of the most fascinating aspects of such a tourist visit was the chance to climb up high into the crown--and I thought I recalled hearing that people had also gone up into the torch part of the statue as well. I know this is a huge change for lots of people, with people surprised to hear that apparently it's not been allowed for anyone to climb up into the torch for the past century. Thanks so much for sharing your background having studied naval history as part of your training, as well as having received the kinds of publications that most certainly would have included such 'fun facts' as the Hooligan civilian navy during World War II; the Black Tom explosion of 1916 that was America's first terrorist attack on US soil; and dazzle camouflage used on ships during World War I.

Person transformed to someone completely different
Kathleen
Bothell, Washington, USA

These days I don't get out much, but it was so sunny on Friday that I went with my husband to the shopping center next door, and sat in the car while he went in. I was enjoying the sun and just sitting, when I got cued that I needed to be doing something else. I had observed a homeless person with a tan-ish colored jacket sitting in the distance during this time. I took a short walk around the car and then came back inside the car, deciding to text my friend while I was waiting for my husband to return from the store. In my distance vision while I was texting, I noticed some sort of activity going on where the homeless person was sitting, but I stayed focused on the texting. When I looked over, having completed the text, the person had changed. What I initially observed was a stooped over depressed man with a tan-ish colored jacket on.  When I looked over after texting, there was a young man eating his lunch dressed in fast food/service type clothing, he had a black shirt on with short sleeves.  His demeanor was different, he was perky, thoroughly enjoying his food. I was sitting at the far edge of the parking lot, where there were few vehicles, I would have noticed any activity in such an open area.  There were no other people sitting in that area, and there were no other people walking around in that area, either. (The picture is a long guard rail with small marshy green on the other side, bordering the two way vehicle lanes at the outer edge of the shopping center.  The person was sitting facing the marshy green on the long guard rail.) What really struck me was the keen difference in behavior and activity, it was a very noticeable difference. I was pretty awestruck by it all, its taken me a couple of days to let it sink in. I think this is the first time that I've experienced this particular form of reality shift.  As you know, there have been others. I am so glad that I can share this kind of story with you, I've been hearing about how timelines are jumping around, this one blows my mind.  Thank you so much for the good work you do on this planet at this time.

Note from Cynthia: Thanks so much for sharing this experience, noticing someone nearby transformed into someone completely different.  I like the way you describe how you noticed both physical differences and behavioral differences in the two people you observed, who'd been occupying the same place.  I've seen this kind of shift only on a few occasions so far.  One of my most recent experiences with this was when I was walking around my neighborhood a few years ago.  I remember looking at a group of people that were a few houses away from me down the street, and then looking away, and looking back. There was someone pushing a baby stroller, another adult, and a pet dog on a leash.  When I looked back, the group was quite different, yet there's no way they could have all left and had another group swap places with them in that brief a moment in time.  I stared at these people intently, wondering if somehow I'd just been confused, as this is such a startling variety of reality shift.

Screenless window now has a screen
Carol
Oxford, Massachusetts, USA

I told Deb that I experienced a reality shift.  About 8 years ago, we had new windows put in my daughters bedroom.  I was mad when I realized that one of the windows didn’t come with a screen (meaning we couldn’t leave that window open).  I even got in a fight with my ex-husband because he was supposed to order a screen and he never did. He moved out in 2012 and for the last few years, every time I have someone help me put the AC unit in, I let then know to put it in the window without the screen.  But this year…well, this year the window has a screen!!  I don’t know how it happened, but I’m so glad it did! Anyway, I thought you might appreciate the story.

Note from Cynthia: Oh wow--what a delightful reality shift you experienced this year with that screen that so helpfully arrived! I can just picture you providing the usual instruction to "just put the air conditioner in the window that doesn't have a screen," and then saying, "Wait. What?!?" That's so awesome that you've got that screen you'd been hoping for--what a wonderful gift!
